The Nationals are trying to snap a four-game losing streak, and on paper they have a favorable matchup. Doug Fister has been aces the last two times out, allowing three runs in 14 innings in a pair of victories. The Nationals get to take a shot at a left-handed starter, Francisco Liriano, and they’ve had their best offensive success against those pitchers this season.

With Adam LaRoche back in the lineup, Matt Williams put Tyler Moore in left field and Kevin Frandsen at second base.
