Wilson Ramos to begin rehab assignment Saturday with Harrisburg

Wilson Ramos (Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports)

Wilson Ramos said he is scheduled to play four rehab games as he returns from a hamstring strain. He will begin his rehab assignment on Saturday with Class AA Harrisburg at home and play two games.

Ramos will then move his rehab assignment to Class A Potomac at home on Monday and play two games. He said he then hopes to join the Nationals in Chicago on Wednesday. The Nationals finish a three-game series with the Brewers on Wednesday and will travel to Chicago after the game.

Ramos is eligible to come off the disabled list as soon as June 26 and the Nationals expect him to be ready to return then. He landed on the disabled list on June 11 after feeling his hamstring pull when he raced to second on a double the day before.

James Wagner joined the Post in August 2010 and, prior to covering the Nationals, covered high school sports across the region.
