Nationals-Cubs discussion thread: Game 80

The Nationals play two games Saturday at Wrigley Field because of a pride parade in the same neighborhood on Sunday. The first game is at 1 p.m. EST and the second at 7:15 p.m. EST. The first game is on MASN and the second on FOX. Gio Gonzalez takes the mound for his third start since returning from the disabled list, hoping that his velocity starts to tick back up. The Cubs are calling up Dallas Beeler to start; he will be making his major league debut. The two teams will have an unusual off day on Sunday, the Cubs’ first scheduled Sunday off-day in 82 years. The lineups are here. As always, talk about the game below.

James Wagner joined the Post in August 2010, wrote about high school sports across the region for two years and has covered the Nationals since the middle of the 2012 season.
