In the most anticipated lineup of the Nationals’ season, Ryan Zimmerman will move back to third base, Bryce Harper will return in left field and Anthony Rendon will take over at second base, sending Danny Espinosa to the bench. Matt Williams did not provide any major surprises with his first fully healthy lineup since opening day, other than perhaps hitting Wilson Ramos — the Nationals’ opening day cleanup hitter — eighth.

Around 3 p.m., Zimmerman and Rendon took the field for early grounders at third base and second base, respectively. Zimmerman made strong throws, most of them accurate, across the diamond, firing the ball either overhand or with a three-quarters release. He fielded balls for five minutes, and only one throw pulled the first baseman — batting practice thrower Ali Modami — off the bag.
