Tonight’s Nationals-Rockies lineups

Manager Matt Williams made a change to the Nationals’ lineup, but not the one he hinted at last night. Though he said he would “look at” getting Danny Espinosa in today’s lineup, Williams stuck with the same basic starting lineup as the past two days. He gave Wilson Ramos a day off in favor of Jose Lobaton, standard practice during two consecutive blazing-hot days.

Espinosa, who has an .826 OPS against lefties this season, hasn’t played since Friday despite the Nationals facing three straight left-handers — Tyler Maztek goes tonight for the Rockies.

The Nationals and Rockies will conclude their series tonight in a game that starts at 6:05 p.m. The Nationals pushed up the start time by an hour because of postgame fireworks.
