Nationals-Reds discussion thread: Game 100

Tanner Roark, who hasn’t yet spent a full season in the major leagues, is tied for the team lead in wins (nine) and has the best ERA (2.91) among the Nationals’ starters. He takes the mound against the Reds, who have lost six straight. An interesting stat from Stats LLC: The Nationals have scored in the first inning in seven of the past eight Roark starts, totaling 18 runs. Early runs always help a pitcher ease into a game, and Roark has benefited from that.
