After he exited after six innings Wednesday night with a sore right shoulder, an injury sustained on a swing last week, Jayson Werth is back in the Nationals’ lineup for today’s 12:35 matinee against the Mets.

“I talked to him this morning,” Manager Matt Williams said. “He’s getting some treatment. All indications are that he’ll be fine to go. Put him in the lineup. Unless he’s not feeling good in the next couple hours, he’ll be in there.”

Catcher Wilson Ramos remains out following the birth of his daughter Tuesday morning, but he is expected to join the Nationals for their flight to Atlanta following today’s game. Today is the third and final game he can miss on paternity leave.

“They’re at the hospital waiting on the doctors to release everybody,” Williams said. “So if that happens anytime soon, we’ll make an adjustment on whether he’s going to play or not. We’re still waiting on that.”

UPDATE, 12:30 p.m.: Minutes before the game, the Nationals announced that Ramos was activated and Sandy Leon optioned back to Class AAA Syracuse. Lobaton is still starting but Ramos is available off the bench.
