Tonight’s Nationals-Mets lineups: Jayson Werth out, Michael Taylor debuts

(USA Today)

The tarp is on at Citi Field, and with heavy rain moving north, it’s possible the Nationals will receive another day off. It’s clear their banged-up right fielder could use it. Even with yesterday’s day off, Jayson Werth will again rest his right shoulder, which is afflicted with AC joint inflammation. With Werth out, Michael Taylor, the Nationals’ top position player prospect, will make his major league debut in right.

The Nationals will face Rafael Montero, whom the Mets called up to replace Jacob deGrom, who landed on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation.
