Mid-Atlantic Sports Network’s Nationals broadcast team — play-by-play announcer Bob Carpenter, color analyst F.P. Santangelo and on-field reporter Dan Kolko — will return for the 2015 season, a person familiar with the situation said. No official announcement has been made yet and some details haven’t been finalized, but all three broadcasters are expected back.

It may seem obvious that the broadcast team would return, but the network generally operates in one-year deals.

Carpenter, a longtime sportscaster, has called Nationals games since 2006. Santangelo, a former major leaguer, joined MASN in 2011 and has quickly become a part of the team’s daily fabric with his energetic style and support of the home team. Kolko, who still writes about the Nationals for, had a memorable first season as the on-field reporter last year. His two predecessors each lasted only one season each as on-field reporters.
