Eric Holcomb elected as Indiana governor

Republican Eric Holcomb has beaten John Gregg, a Democrat, in the race to be governor of Indiana.

Holcomb, the lieutenant governor, got the endorsement of Gov. Mike Pence, who is Donald Trump's running mate in the presidential race.

Gregg is the former state House speaker.

Indiana voted for Republican businessman Donald Trump in Tuesday’s presidential election.
