Jim Justice elected as West Virginia governor

Democrat Jim Justice has beaten Bill Cole, a Republican, in the race to be governor of West Virginia.

Justice, a 6-foot-7, white-haired former Republican whose wealth Forbes magazine puts at $1.6 billion, says he is chief executive of 83 companies in different states. He's also the owner of the Greenbrier Resort.

Cole is the state Senate president and an auto dealer.

West Virginia voted for Republican businessman Donald Trump in Tuesday’s presidential election.
