You could watch this video and see various meteorologists — an assortment of individuals who presumably worked hard and studied diligently, leading them to this singular moment in their lives — respond to this very question. Or you could remember that the Syfy network, which will air the movie “Sharknado 2: The Second One,” is owned by NBCUniversal, which owns the Weather Channel (which airs “Wake Up With Al,” starring Al Roker) and NBC (hence the synergistic cameos by Matt Lauer and, yes, Al Roker of the “Today” show).
