IN NEW YORK!
A man who recently visited an Ebola-impacted West African country came to New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital on Monday with a high fever and gastrointestinal problems and wound up “in strict isolation” while he was screened for the deadly Ebola virus disease.
But early Monday evening, city health officials announced that the patient was “unlikely to have Ebola,” effectively ending the Great Ebola-In-The-City Scare of Aug. 4, 2014.
Naturally, the New York tabloids treated the story with the restraint for which they are famous.
Here are Tuesday’s tab covers, ranked in descending order of hysteria.

The New York Times, by the way, did not put the local Ebola story on the front page of its New York edition.
