Neighbors say they are devastated by the death of their Utah residents.

The devastation has been “unfathomable,” with numerous deaths and more than 700 structures damaged or destroyed, officials said.

The local Habitat for Humanity office in Lake County, California, was burned in the Clayton Fire.

Authorities in south Florida have not yet determined whether the victim was already dead before his body was set afire.

"They had some Super Soakers, so they had some pretty good range," West Fargo Fire Chief Daniel Fuller said.

"It's like something out of a movie," a resident of the Greenwood neighborhood said of the aftermath.

David Lopez Jackson has been charged with two counts of arson, and police said it doesn't appear to be a hate crime.

"They're weighing this minor good against a major bad of compromising justice and the safety of our citizens," a state senator had said.

In less than one day, the fire spread to 40,000 acres.

The friend, Jaydon Chavez-Silver, died of a gunshot wound. The Albuquerque dispatcher, Matthew Sanchez, has resigned.
