Paul Ryan appeared to get caught off-guard today by a question about a group of special operations veterans who are campaigning against President Obama.
Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who said Wednesday that he was "disappointed" to see the military get involved in partisan politics.
Asked about Dempsey's comments in Fayatteville, N.C., Ryan said he was "not familiar with that." When the questioner attempted to clarify, he added, “I can’t comment on that.”
Ryan spokesman Michael Steel told the Post that Ryan was familiar with the issue but has not addressed it.
