At loose ends because Isaac's proximity shut down Monday's convention program, delegates packed at least one Tampa-area movie theater playing “2016: Obama’s America,” by conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza.

“I stayed and I saw it twice because I had nothing else to do," said Jack Madaras, 80, a retired surgeon who is part of the Virginia delegation as a non-voting guest. "The first time I had to sit in the second row and got a pain looking up at it.”

Despite the discomfort, Madaras dozed off and missed a lot of the first showing.

“I caught up on the second time," he said.
