President Obama has been playing up his enjoyment of a cold one on the trail lately, and discussion of a brewing enterprise on the grounds of the White House led to a petition for him to release the recipe. The subject also came up in his AMA, or "Ask Me Anything," on Reddit this week.

The petition didn't get the 25,000 signatures that were said to be needed -- it's at 12,240 -- but the White House has released the recipes. They come with a blog post from White House chef Sam Kass and a video with a behind-the-scenes look at brewing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.

There are two recipes -- one for the White House Honey Ale and one for White House Honey Porter, both brewed with honey from Michelle Obama's kitchen garden.
