A feisty Mitt Romney returned to the campaign trail in Mansfield, Ohio Monday, debuting new attack lines he hopes will put him on the offensive in a campaign that has shifted in President Obama’s favor.

“‘Forward’ is his campaign slogan,” Romney said. “I think ‘Forewarned’ is a better term. We know what would happen if he were reelected. We’d see more years of unemployment.”

In his remarks here, Romney criticized Obama for not adequately addressing in his convention speech the country’s unemployment rate or that there are 47 million Americans now on food stamps.

“These are not numbers, or people, he spoke about during his convention speech,” Romney said.
