Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who has repeatedly claimed to know that Mitt Romney had not paid taxes for a decade, responds to the candidate's 2011 disclosure. Via the Las Vegas Sun's Anjeanette Damon:
Reid on Romney deciding to release 2011 returns: "He's hiding something. He's hiding something! It is so evident he's hiding something!"

In a statement, Reid elaborated, asking for Romney's past tax returns. "The true test of his character would be to show what he did when everyone was not looking at his taxes," said. Romney released a summary of his tax returns going back two decades, reporting that his average annual effective federal tax rate was 20.2 percent.
"Mitt Romney has now released more than 1,200 pages of tax returns, giving voters an incredibly detailed look at his finances," Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in a statement. "Now that the most recent tax return has been released, it’s time to get back to discussing the issues that voters care about."
