Spotted at Andrews: Ahmadinejad’s plane

Post reporter Amy Gardner spied something unusual Wednesday morning when she arrived at Joint Base Andrews before the White House press corps flew to Ohio for Obama's campaign events there: The Boeing 747 that ferried Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to this week’s United Nations General Assembly gathering in New York.

An Air Force spokeswoman explained to Gardner that it's common for foreign heads of state to park their aircraft at Joint Base Andrews when visiting the United States and that they can do so free of charge.

Several other foreign officials' planes are parked at Andrews while they attend the United Nations General Assembly  in New York.

President Obama, who spoke at the UNGA Tuesday, rolled right past the Iranian jet on Air Force One as he departed for Ohio
