President Obama opened the first presidential debate by pointing out that this is his 20th wedding anniversary.
"Twenty years ago I became the luckiest man on the earth because Michelle Obama agreed to marry me," he said. "I just want to wish, you, sweetie, happy anniversary." He promised that in a year, they would not celebrate in front of 40 million people.
Obama then launched into some of his standard stump speech lines, saying "the question tonight is not where we've been but where we're going."
Mitt Romney played along, saying, "I'm sure this was the romantic place you could imagine, here with me."
