In a victory lap of sorts, presidential candidate Mitt Romney stopped by Colorado's Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday morning.
“When I heard my boys were going to be here, I couldn't resist,” he said, joining four of his five sons onstage.
Romney repeated a new attack line from Wednesday night's debate and debuted his own new campaign message — contrasting "trickle-down government" with "prosperity through freedom."
“Last night I thought was a great opportunity for the American people to see two very different visions for the country," Romney said. "And I think it was helpful to be able to describe those visions. I saw the president’s vision as trickle-down government and I don’t think that’s what America believes in. I see instead a prosperity that comes through freedom. We have two very different courses for America – trickle-down government or prosperity through freedom."
He also criticized Obama for claiming he has a plan to reduce the deficit by $4 trillion, a claim our Fact Checker has also questioned.
