Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is over the moon about Mitt Romney's debate performance on Wednesday. "I told him after the debate that he crushed it," the vice presidential candidate told the Weekly Standard.

"I told him how proud I was, how wonderful his performance was, how presidential he was, how I was excited that people got to know the man I know."

According to Politico, Romney "worked hours on his smile, his posture and the delivery of his words."

The congressman said Romney warned him to get ready for Biden. "I expect the vice president to come at me like a cannonball," Ryan said.

Biden said Thursday that he was studying Ryan's record in preparation for next week's vice presidential debate. “I don’t want to say anything in the debate that’s not completely accurate,” he explained.
