Ronald Reagan would be happy to hear how much presidential candidates from both parties have come to accept his "Star Wars" vision for a missile defense shield.

Obama has convinced NATO to go along with a Europe-based missile defense system that theoretically could zap short and medium-range ballistic missiles from Iran.

Romney disagrees with how Obama has set up the shield in southern Europe, criticizing the president for altering George W. Bush's plan to install missile interceptors in Poland. Romney says it "disrupted the relationship between" Washington and Warsaw.

The Obama administration did annoy the Poles with how it handled the change in plan. But all in all, this is a remarkably minor disagreement over an issue that Democrats once derided Reagan for pushing.
