CINCINNATI — President Obama didn't take the mike this time. But he did do a little dance on stage and mouthed along as Stevie Wonder struck up a live version of the Obama campaign song "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," after Obama finished speaking at an evening rally here.

Obama, whose brief singing at the Apollo Theater in Harlem last winter went viral in an online video, was fired up when Wonder struck up the chords on his electric piano. Waving to the crowd, the president grooved briefly with a big smile, as the crowd of 13,500 at the Fifth Third Arena ate it up with hearty cheers.

The moment didn't last long. Obama stepped off stage and began shaking hands. Wonder, dressed in a silky blue shirt and dark slacks, then segued into a made-up chorus of "Let's vote for President Obama!" The Motown legend, a vocal advocate for the president, had played a short set a couple hours before Obama arrived and sat in a folding chair during the president's speech, breaking into a cheer with the rest of the crowd when police officers escorted a pair of protesters from the arena.
