Report: Martha Coakley aiming to run for governor of Massachusetts

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley (D) is considered a likely special election candidate should Sen. John Kerry's (D) seat become vacant if he is named U.S. secretary of state. But the Boston Herald reports that Coakley is more interested in the governor's mansion than the Senate.

There are no term limits in Massachusetts, but Gov. Deval Patrick (D) is not planning to run again.
