As pastor Louie Giglio bows out of President Obama's inaugural ceremony over his anti-gay comments, the Stanford Daily has republished a college editorial by Newark Mayor Cory Booker in which he reveals his past "disgust and latent hostility" towards gays and how he overcame it.

"I was disgusted by gays," Booker wrote in the 1992 editorial, published in the Stanford Daily. "The thought of two men kissing each other was about as appealing as a frontal lobotomy."
