In an interview Thursday, first lady Michelle Obama mistakenly called herself a "busy single mother" before quickly correcting herself.

Obama was discussing her efforts to promote healthy eating and her anti-obesity "Let's Move" campaign.

"Believe me, as a busy single mother -- or, I shouldn't say 'single' -- as a busy mother," Obama told WCAX, a CBS affiliate in Burlington, Vt. "You know, when you've got the husband who's president, it can feel a little single, but he's there," she joked.

"But as a busy working mom, and before coming to the White House, I was in that position as well -- working, driving kids to practice, not having enough time to shop or cook, not having the energy," she added. While resources were not a problem for her family, she said, time was.

Students from Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Vermont came to Washington Thursday to plant vegetables in the White House garden.
