Vice President Biden visited Capitol Hill Monday afternoon to swear in Republican Jeff Chiesa as the new interim senator for New Jersey.

Biden usually engages reporters as he walks the halls of Congress. But as he moved from the Senate Chamber to the Old Senate Chamber to reenact Chiesa's swearing-in for cameras, Biden was relatively tight-lipped on whether recent leaks regarding eavesdropping programs at the National Security Agency are adversely affecting national security:

Once inside the Old Senate Chamber, Biden mixed it up with Chiesa's family with cameras rolling:

As he departed the Old Senate Chamber and the U.S. Capitol, reporters inquired on two other topics -- gun control and immigration:
