President Obama is planning a brief summer getaway to Camp David on Friday, and this time he's inviting some friends.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama are opening the Maryland presidential retreat to Cabinet members and their families, an administration official said.

The White House did not disclose which Cabinet members would be accompanying the Obamas to Camp David.  But with 15 Cabinet slots and seven Cabinet-rank positions, the place could be a bit more crowded than usual.

The picnic invitation comes after Obama has filled all but one high-ranking position — small-business administrator, a Cabinet-rank slot — for his second term.

Obama has used Camp David for personal getaways, such as three weeks ago when he spent a couple nights there, and for business, such as when he hosted Group of Eight nation leaders there last year.
