New Hampshire Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley (R) says he will not run for statewide office next year, ending speculation that he might challenge Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.).
There had been plenty of speculation that Bradley might challenge Shaheen, who a recent poll showed is in pretty solid standing ahead of 2014.
Former Massachusetts Republican senator Scott Brown, meanwhile, hasn't ruled out a bid for Shaheen's seat. He owns a home in New Hampshire, and becoming eligible to run for office there would be as easy as changing his voter registration. But as The Fix recently noted, Brown, who recently passed on a run for governor of Massachusetts, hasn't sounded like a candidate for any office lately.
