CMS chief: experience will be smooth by November end

At a Senate hearing Tuesday morning, Marilyn Tavenner, administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, said programmers are on track to make sure the “experience on the site will be smooth for the vast majority of users” by the end of November.

“We are now able to process nearly 17,000 registrants per hour, or five per second, with almost no errors,” she said about, the federal health insurance Web site, before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions.
