Sen. Tim Scott declined to endorse his fellow South Carolina Republican senator, Lindsey Graham, on Wednesday.

Scott, appearing on CNN's "Crossfire," was asked twice whether he would back Graham, who faces several primary challengers in his reelection bid. Both times, Scott said he's focused on his own reelection campaign.

"I'm certainly going to work really hard for Tim Scott's reelection," Scott said.

Both men are on the ballot in 2014, by virtue of Scott's appointment to the Senate earlier this year. He will have to run for the remainder of former senator Jim DeMint's term; Graham is up for a full term.

While Graham has been targeted from the right for his position on immigration, among other issues, Scott appears likely to get a free pass in both the general election and the primary.
