Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan is getting to be a regular at this.
Fellow civic-minded D.C. residents who showed up for jury duty in D.C. Superior Court were pretty sure that was the court’s newest justice who was waiting with them Wednesday morning, and a court spokeswoman confirmed it.
It was at least the second time Kagan has done her civic duty. She reported to the court in January 2011 and was not selected, which would seem to be the likely outcome of Wednesday’s trip to the courthouse.
But there could have been other times she has served, when no journalists were in the jury pool to spot her.
