Congress's approval rating has remained somewhat constant in recent years — constantly in the gutter, that is — but one measure of dissatisfaction is on the rise.

That would be overall satisfaction with our system of government (a measure of not just the people in charge but the type of government they run).

The latest Gallup poll on this shows a new high — 65 percent — of people report being unhappy with the United States's method of governance.

Of course, the "system of governance" is a somewhat vague term. It doesn't necessarily mean, for example, that democracy is falling out of style. But it does suggest that things continue to get worse in Washington.
