A petition seeking the deportation of pop star Justin Bieber has gained enough signatures to earn an official response from the White House.

The petition, titled "Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card," was launched six days ago and has more than 120,000 signatures on the White House Web site so far. A petition needs 100,000 to earn a response.

Bieber, who was recently arrested on DUI charges, is a native of Canada and has a temporary work visa (not a green card, as the petition states). But as Time's Zeke Miller notes, it's not that easy to deport him.

Previously, the White House was forced to respond to a petition calling on it to build a Death Star. Shortly thereafter, it raised the requirement for earning a response from 25,000 to 100,000.
