If there was any doubt that Vice President Biden is planning to run for president in 2016, he might have put an end to that Friday.

In an interview with CNN's "New Day," Biden said he can't think of any reason why he shouldn't run again.

"I can't," he said. "There may be reasons I don't run, but there's no obvious reason for me why I think I should not run."

Biden joked earlier this week that the new Corvette supercar was a reason for him not to run for president. (President's generally don't drive themselves.)

Biden also said that his decision on whether to run would come by the summer of 2015.

"For me, the decision to run or not run is going to be determined by me, as to whether I am the best-qualified person to focus on the two things I've spent my whole life on -- giving ordinary people a fightin' chance to make it and a sound foreign policy that's based on rational interests in the United States," Biden said.
