Vice President Biden says in a new interview that, despite what former defense secretary Robert Gates said in his recent book, Biden has gotten along well with all of President Obama's Cabinet secretaries.
In a Q&A with Time magazine, Biden talks at length about what he casts as his far-reaching duties as vice president and says he is the point man when Cabinet secretaries work closely with the White House.
"I’m going to say something self-serving, because I get along — I’ve never had a Cabinet secretary who’s gone 'Whoa, whoa' -- notwithstanding Gates’ book — or has there ever been any kind of 'What the hell’s he doing,' because I’ve never, as I said, cut their grass," Biden said.
Gates in his recent book said that Biden "has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades." At the same time, Gates acknowledged that Biden is likeable as a person.
Biden has made it very clear hat he's looking to run for president in 2016.
