Slightly more Americans approve than disapprove of President Obama's handling of the crisis in Ukraine, according to a new poll.

The CNN/Opinion Research poll shows 48 percent approve of Obama when it comes to Ukraine, while 43 percent disapprove.

Overall, though, Obama's approval rating remains where it has been for the better part of the last year, with 43 percent approving of him and 53 percent disapproving.

The numbers are notably better than Obama's marks for the handling of the situation in Syria. In that conflict, Obama pushed for military intervention despite reluctance among the American people and Congress. Polling at the time showed significantly more people disapproved than approved of Obama's handling of the situation.
