A new super PAC ad in Rep. Ralph Hall's (R-Tex.) reelection race hits the longtime incumbent for being 90 years old.

The ad, from Now or Never PAC, notes Hall joined Congress during the Carter administration.

"Now he's 90 -- the oldest member of Congress ever," the ad says.

That claim isn't quite true. While Hall is the oldest member of the House ever and the oldest current member of all of Congress. Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-S.C.) was the oldest member of Congress ever, at 100 years old.

(Some think of "Congress" as only the House, but it encompasses both the House and Senate.)

Hall faces a primary runoff with former U.S. attorney John Ratcliffe.
