Rep. Donna Edwards to chair DCCC’s ‘Red to Blue’ program

Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) will head up the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's "Red to Blue" program, the committee announced Thursday.

It's the second cycle in a row that Edwards will lead the "Red to Blue" program, which was designed to highlight the best Democratic U.S. House recruits from around the country and offer them extra help.

Edwards's vice chairs will be Reps. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.) and Denny Heck (D-Wash.).

"With their help, we have recruited a strong group of candidates who will focus on economic growth and stand on the side of middle class families," said DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) in a statement.
