Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has been mistaken for former congressman Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). Twice.
Yes, it's true. Ryan recounted one of the times it happened to a group of Republicans gathered Wednesday in Isabella County, Mich., according to Saginaw News and MLive.com reporter Mark Tower.
"I've been confused for Anthony Weiner twice now. I have no idea how that happens," Ryan said.
He recalled being on a flight where the flight attendants kept looking and pointing at him. "Then, finally one of them comes up to me, and she says: 'You're somebody famous, aren't you? Are you Anthony Weiner?'" explained Ryan.
Weiner told Business Insider that being confused with Ryan is "the final insult."
