"Ready for Hillary," a super PAC hopeful that former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton will run for president in 2016, raised more than $2.5 million between April and June.

The group announced Tuesday that it received more than 43,000 contributions during the second quarter. The average donation was $57.

In total, the organization has raised more than $8 million since its formation in 2013.

"Ready for Hillary" is technically a "hybrid PAC," meaning it can both give money to candidates and make unlimited independent expenditures in races.
