It turns out the leader of the free world isn't immune from forgetting his phone -- and having to go retrieve it.

President Obama strode onto Marine One this morning, then walked right off and back into the White House.

"I forgot something," he told reporters.

A few moments later he walked back toward the helicopter, which was to ferry him to Andrews Air Force Base. Obama is headed to Las Vegas to give a speech on the executive order on immigration he announced Thursday night.

"Didn't you guys ever forget something?" Obama asked.

After repeated questions about what he forgot, Obama held up his phone.

"My BlackBerry," he said.

BlackBerry? Really?

Really.

"I am not allowed, for security reasons, to have an iPhone," Obama told a youth summit on the Affordable Care Act last year.
