Why is the White House Easter Bunny always so creepy?

The White House will host its annual Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn this Monday. There will be hundreds of guests. Thousands of eggs. And one very, very creepy-looking giant bunny.

This guy.

What makes the bunny so creepy? Maybe it's the perma-smile. The wide, unseeing eyes.

Or maybe it's the fact that he (or she) stands, silently watching, just feet away from the most powerful person on the planet.

Sometimes even closer.

Is the bunny planning something? They could be. And we'd never know what, until it was too late.

The bunny is definitely playing the long game.

It looks like Hillary Clinton wasn't fooled.

Oh, no.

This year's White House Easter Egg Roll -- the 137th to be held there -- will be on Monday, and we'll be watching.

So will the bunny.
