Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who is expected to formally launch his long-awaited presidential campaign on Monday, has already filed his initial paperwork to run.

A not-for-profit corporation called Jeb 2016 Inc. was registered with Florida's Division of Corporations on June 4. Its purpose, according to the filing, is to "promote the candidacy of Jeb Bush for the office of President of the United States." The corporation lists as its address an office on West Flagler Street in Miami, the site of the future Bush campaign headquarters. The paperwork was signed by Raquel A Rodriguez, a longtime lawyer for Bush.

Jeb 2016 Inc. is the entity listed on the Web site promoting Bush's expected announcement.

Once the committee raises or spends $5,000 in support of his bid, Bush has 15 days to file his statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.

The former governor arrived in Germany on Tuesday for a five-day trip through Central and Eastern Europe before his expected campaign launch in Miami. It remains to be seen how the trip is being paid for, but Bush could cover the expenses himself and then report them as an in-kind contribution to his campaign.
