Bernie Sanders's Democratic presidential campaign might be over, but his upstart bid continues to inspire many Americans, some in surprising ways. Like Miley Cyrus.

The young pop singer, known for her twerking in addition to "Wrecking Ball" and other hits, is bringing her talents to "The Voice" this season as a coach on NBC's popular reality singing show.

She's also arriving with some advice for contestants on her team, according to the new edition of Elle magazine.

"I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but I'm going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders," Cyrus tells Elle. "Be the person people want and love. Don't worry about the masses. That's how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it."

A spokeswoman for Our Revolution, the group launched by the senator from Vermont to build on the momentum of his White House bid, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
