Flint Hill standout midfielder Marlo Sweatman signed a letter of intent to join the women’s soccer program at Florida State Tuesday, and the Oakton school had 12 other students either commit or sign with athletic programs during a ceremony at the school.

Sweatman earned first team All-Met honors this fall after posting 20 goals and 17 assists for Flint Hill, which finished the season 11-5-2. She was one of seven Flint Hill athletes to sign or commit to college programs on Tuesday, which included three volleyball players in Becca Ploetz (Connecticut College), Haley McClure (Morgan State) and Natalie Lyon (Mount Holyoke College) and two women’s lacrosse players in Ansley Gibson (Denison University) and Hannah Donegan (Connecticut College). Flint Hill senior Rachel Swarts will swim at the University of Pennsylvania.

For the boys, Flint Hill quarterback Stevie Peterson — who threw for 1,142 yards and 19 touchdowns this fall while leading the school to a MAC title — will play both football and lacrosse at St. Lawrence University. Safety Ben Kase will play football at Davidson, while Kasey and Kody Kettle will continue their lacrosse careers at Virginia Military Institute and Gordon College, respectively. Ricardo Manosalvas committed to play soccer at Lynchburg College, while Blake McGinley is headed to Occidental College to join the tennis program next fall.
