In his first steps toward playing professionally overseas, Princeton Day senior Aquille Carr signed with an agent and accepted an invitation to play in June’s Adidas Eurocamp in Italy, according to Princeton Day Coach Van Whitfield.
Foster will help Carr move closer to finding a professional team when the electrifying point guard competes in next month’s Adidas Eurocamp. Held in Treviso, Italy on June 8-10, the showcase event is the lone NBA-sanctioned pre-draft camp outside of the U.S. and brings the top overseas talent together with NBA and international coaches.
Whitfield said Carr, who will head to Italy on June 6, is the only American player to earn an invite to the camp.
“It’s a unique opportunity for Aquille because he’s going at the urging of several NBA teams who want to see him up close after not getting a chance to see him play this year,” Whitfield said. “He’ll most likely be playing in the Euro League next year and there are several teams who are interested to see how he fares against other international competition his age.”
Known as the “Crimestopper,” Carr averaged an area-best 28.4 points per game for Princeton Day this past season.
