Woodbridge defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand will announce his college decision on November 14. Ranked by Rivals as the nation’s top senior recruit, Hand will choose between Alabama, Florida and Michigan on his 18th birthday.

Hand, who did not immediately respond to phone and text messages, tweeted the decision day news on Sunday night. The news is a slight diversion from his previous intentions to announce in December or January.

According to multiple reports, Hand has an official visit planned to Michigan during the weekend of Sept. 7 for the Wolverines’ matchup against Notre Dame. He has not yet set visit dates to Alabama and Florida but will do so before making his decision in November.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound lineman has been deliberate and guarded about his recruitment, creating enough space for him to carefully consider all facets of his dozens of suitors, from academics to majors to social life.

After recording 78 unassisted tackles and 16 sacks last fall, Hand took part in a number of events this offseason, including the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge, where he won MVP honors and further increased his recruiting stock.
